At least two people have died after a motorcycle crash involving a tractor-trailer Saturday in Miramar on U.S. 27, according to reporting from The Miami Herald.
The crash occurred around 1:40 a.m. in the southbound lanes of U.S. 27 near Pembroke road and mile marker 21. Traffic was allegedly touch and go in the area and a motorcycle, carrying two people, was “unable to stop in time” before colliding with the tractor-trailer, the newspaper reported.
There was traffic in the area leading up to the crash because a car had allegedly caught fire, according to reporting from WPLG-Local 10.
Additional information, including the names of the deceased, were not immediately available.

Following the horrific incident, he was left with catastrophic brain and orthopedic injuries that left him requiring a wheelchair and round-the-clock care.
At trial, a jury awarded over $95 million to the family with $57 million going to the son and $38 million going to the parents.
